Eucharisteo

Eucharisteo - To be grateful, feel thankful, to give thanks

Eucharisteo is the Hebrew word used several times throughout the Bible.  I love the definition.  Eucharisteo is a feeling and an action.  It is used several times throughout the Bible but one that stands out to me is when Jesus is giving thanks at the Last Supper.  WOW!  This blows my mind, that Jesus is giving thanks knowing what is about to happen to him.  "Do this in remembrance of me" has taken on a whole new meaning for me.  I pray I remember that before Jesus goes to the cross to accept my punishment, he is giving THANKS.  Eucharisteo to feel thankful.  I want to be grateful in all circumstances because that is true eucharisteo.

Luke 22:19

English Standard Version (ESV)
19(A) And he took bread, and(B) when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, (C) "This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."

95.  Amy who helped me finish a project long ago started.  It is much more fun when you have someone to talk to.
96.  Jen, my sister in law and friend.  I love that my brother married you and I love spending time with you.  You make the days go by faster and happier.
97.  Pumpkin cake just because...
98.  Cousins that play together so happily...
99.  Rain that keeps everything so green.
100.  Tucker and his dreams:  A couple days ago, he told me he wants to be a duck shooter when he grows up, you know mom like when I am 16 or 17.  He talked about this several times throughout the day and Ry and I asked him how he would make a living doing this.  Last night, he shared his plans with daddy and Josh asked him what he was going to do with the ducks.  He completed his "When I grow up plans" by adding that he was going to cook them and then sell the food.  Well he actually said, he was going to shoot them and then Daddy and I were going to clean them and cook them.  I am glad his plans when he grows up still include us.

101. A mother in law and father in law willing to come stay with us for a few weeks after I have surgery.  (still praying I don't have too but just in case)
I have a 7 cm ovarian cyst that doesn't look like it is going away.  It is causing pain and discomfort. They will take the cyst and make sure it is benign and that there is nothing else going on.  My prayer is that it is simple and routine and a quick recovery.

102.  Anticipation of having Lon and Beverly here for Thanksgiving...  YAY!!!  The more the merrier.
103.  A happy cheerful Mikaelyn, at least for now...
104.  Grace...she not only babysits but loves my ADY.
105.  Seeing Rylan dress up and play pretend with his cousins
106.  Watching baseball with my husband.

I want to give thanks even when I don't like the cup being handed to me or others around me.
