Forgiveness and Moving Forward

My husband and I attended Good Friday services at our church and I am so glad that we did. The entire message was amazing and really made me think about the way I live my life. The entire visual of nailing our transgressions to the cross was amazing. I had never experienced anything like that.

Well, one of my transgressions was laziness. There are certain areas of my life that I tend to be rather lazy.
1. Educating my 2 young ones/home preschool.
2. Housework
3. Getting things done in a timely fashion
God really brought this up front and center. The things that I tend to be the laziest about are not always the most exciting or the easiest but they are tasks that need to be done and will teach me something within the process. So lessons learned are:
1. Patience and endurance and sheer satisfaction when I see their smile when they actually get it.
2. Service and gratitude and submission
3. Much more time to enjoy the finer things in life when you don't procrastinate or waste time.

Another transgression was control. I like to control what is going on around me and when I can't, I get rather frustrated. I go through phases in my life where I do really well at submitting. There are also areas that are rather easy to submit but most definitely other areas and times when it is REALLY REALLY HARD.

There were many others, but these are 2 that I am really trying to work on. So far the sheer satisfaction of getting things done is incredible. Please pray that I continue to focus and improve my attitudes and behaviors in these areas.

  1. I love you. I miss you. Thank you for being vulnerable and honest. And, I crave enchiladas.....mmmm.
